PROBLEM

In Vietnam, many children have
to walk long distances
to and from school.
The problem, when they get home, it's already dark and they live in areas without power.

SOLUTION

Together with the University of Technology in Ho Chi Minh City, we developed the Kinetic Energy Shoe—a shoe that converts every step into electricity. By simply walking, children in off-grid communities can generate power for their daily needs.

how it works

Every step generates kinetic energy, which is converted into electricity by piezoelectric elements in the sole and stored in a built-in battery.
